April 5th, 2006 by MarkI saw a kind of interesting language quiz online. You have to answer some questions and then it tells you what language to learn. I took it, and it told me to learn Mandarin.

Mark-san,
I must buy a textbook to study Spanish, which is fortunately on the “easy to learn”side. The quiz even told me to join parties in Madrid and entertain myself. I feel honored to be certified as a happy-go-lucky guy.
But it is also a little embarrassing to know that I am not suitable for learning Japanese even though I am a Japanese born and bred. In a sense, I am lucky enough to have no need to study Japanese as a foreign language.
Anyway, it seems that I can not expect further improvement in my poor command of Chinese. I have found “Chinese” located very far from Spanish on the chart. Mark-san, you are living now in the right country for you.

Well, it looks like I should switch from Mandarin to Hindi. Anyone know if there are any Hindi language schools in Taipei?

My result was Japanese, but I think I’ll stick with Mandarin.
