Darin, I'm curious about the "register" link on your header. I registered for your blog and I can now see the dashboard and a list of my previous posts. It also let me fill out a profile. Is that functionality in the default 2.0 theme?

I'm thinking I really should switch to 2.0, but it would be a hassle for me since the defaults have changed for the names of the blocks in the styles.css, and I want to keep my blog's look and feel as opposed to making it a vanilla wordpress blog.

BTW, I also only let posts from previously authorized users show up. The problem is that I'm getting several posts in my moderation queue from online casino spammers everyday. It's getting to be annoying just moderating them.

I c... I use that thing that is included with wordpress 2.0 .. works pretty great for me personally, but some people have had troubles...
Also what I do is I have it set so that posts don't show up unless they're from a previously authorized users.. that seems to do the trick..
otherwise you can just require registration.

As for textile... my blog is getting too popular with spammers. Until I take the time to get a good bayesian filter on here, I think I'd better hold off on other improvements.

Well, after practically writing an essay as a comment on an old post, I figured it would be a waste not to put it on my blog. It fits into my whole "geekery" thing, ya know.
