I thought I share with you my flat in Hong Kong which is a million times worse than yours. My flat is 480 dquare feet and it cost me HK$10500 equivalent to NT$45000 per month. And it's noisy with buses coming and going day and night. I guess the only good thing is I don't have a landlord in the flat! Being a Taiwanese myself, I think housing quality is pretty good especially after seeing what HK is like. Though my favourite city remain London at the top of my list.
