You can use the "Japanese card" here in Taiwan, though. My buddy Yoshi got out of a ticket when he was going 40kmph over the speed limit without a license by just talking to the police in Japanese. I'm having trouble finding one now, and school starts in only a week or two. The places I talk to on the phone give me crap because I'm a foreigner, and with the a train company being on strike, and the winds stopping all the trains anyways, I can't even go to the agent in person.
