Rich Side, Poor Side
July 25th, 2006 by MarkThough there is a huge gulf between the haves and the have-nots in Shanghai, it wasn’t that apparent in most of the city. In general, the city divisions are very large, and one doesn’t walk straight from high-rises into a ghetto. I did manage to get one picture of a clear divide from John’s apartment, though. The people on the left side of the bridge have money. The people on the right don’t.

That’s a great shot, too bad the top highway didn’t have a few more cars to really add to the dichotomy of the picture. Just love the dividing line and everything – great eye you have there.

That is a nice shot. I don’t spend a lot of time in that room lately since I’m too busy for PS2 these days.
I have more short of that area in my “Out with the Old” entry if you’re interested.

Uh… that wasn’t from the PS2 room, dude. Heck, with the PS2 in there, I didnt even notice if that room had windows. I took the picture from the little dining alcove by the laundry room.
I never saw that post of yours before! I really should roll up my sleeves and read through your entire archives sometime.

What are those red things perched on the apartment buildings? They look like something that attacked Hoth.
