Online, you can find quite a bit of free, useful information at the <a href="http://fool.com/" rel="nofollow">Motley Fool</a>. They have a lot of pay services, but their beginner's section, under the "Fool's school" tab, is free. That's where I got my start. My review of <a href="/2006/wisdom-and-engrish-from-peter-lynchone-up-on-wall-street/" rel="nofollow">One up on Wallstreet</a> I think was a Peter Lynch’s One up on Wall Street was a good book for beginners.
