Paul Potts Shocks UK Talent Show “Britain’s got Talent”
June 13th, 2007 by MarkI don’t even know what to make of this. Some guy who sells cell phones for a living showed up on Britain’s got Talent, saying he wants to be an opera singer. The audition didn’t go at all like I thought it would:
Update: Paul Potts has won the semi-final!

I have seen this all day every where. I am not a big opera fan and I don’t really understand what he sings, but I am amazed. If I don’t look at his face, I thought some big singer are singing.
Very good. I hope he wins.

Holy crap. That made me tear up a little. That song always does it for me, but the guy really nailed it. Now why can’t American Idol find someone like that?

I thought the same thing, Holly. I really don’t even think he needed the mic.

Paul is a great guy who has been posting on our forums for a while now about mobile phones - obviously he has missed his calling! Post him a message of support on our Post for Paul thread for him to take a look at when he says goodbye on his way to becoming an international opera star!
Post for Pottsy
He also sailed through the finals with Time to say Goodbye which you can watch here:
Vote for Paul!

Pretty good for an amateur. Not quite up to par with the professionals, but with a good coach he could probably become a professional. It’s good to see him do well because I have a similar talent and I sound somewhat like that on my good days.

Paul,
Someone posted the link to your audition on a message board. That was the first time I heard of you. After hearing your amazing voice, I googled you and found out you have a CD out. I’m not really an opera fan, but today I bought 2 “One Chance” CD’s on Amazon. Look forward to the next. Good Luck Irene FROM PA. USA
