Thanks For the Banner Image!
April 27th, 2007 by MarkI’ve been extremely lazy in working on the layout and presentation of this site, as regular readers can surely tell. The banner image that used to be at the top of this site was just the default image from the Wuhan theme, plus some text. It sucked.
In fact, it sucked so bad that one reader took it upon himself to design me a better one. He used the picture I took of the Starbucks inside the Forbidden City in Beijing last summer. Thanks, Wally!

So why aren’t you using it? It’s much better than what you have now.
And say it ain’t so. Are you really imbedding ads now within posts?

There’s an ad after each post, before the comments, and one in the sidebar (if you’re looking at a single post). That’s the same as it’s always been. If you don’t like them, you can install the ad block plug-in for Firefox, or read my posts via a feed reader. If you haven’t noticed them until now, though, I’m not too worried.

I’m in the process of making one for Prince Roy. But to be successful I would have to modify his header.php file.

I couldn’t give up this font, so I only replaced the picture.

You inspired me to change my header image too. I had a photo sitting there for ages that I wanted to use, but I never got round to changing it until now.

I would of kept that font, but made it prettier, but I couldn’t find it.

I think the banner would look even better if the picture occupied more space and the text was smaller.
I like your quicktags above for comments. Did you get that plug-in from somewhere or write it yourself?

I’m using the comment quicktags plugin, but obviously I had to add the pinyin vowels myself.

The header image is gone. I’ve re-made my theme, and decided I don’t need a banner.
