Hah, last summer when I went back to the states I spent way too much time at Taco Bell too. There were other places that made me oddly sentimental about food too: Waffle House, Wendy's, and those roadside greasy spoon diners especially. Odd how food can be all about culture and have little to do with taste. E.g., after I was back in the states for a while I began to have a hankering for some Taiwanese o'ah-jian (oyster omelletes)--even though I don't really like those very much.

Taco bell can bring you back, but it was all about Fazoli's medium-fast Italian food. We'd roll out of bed after an all-night drinking fest, pick up the stragglers who didn't make it home, cram into Jason's Jeep and drive down to Fazoli's. The free bread-stick refills helped us soak up the remaining unmetabolized alcohol in our stomachs. We'd get the sampler platter, and all the doctor pepper we could drink. I think I gained about 15 pounds that year.

Last I heard, Jason was at Columbia University in New York City, pursuing a theater degree (or similar).
