I started writing toshuo.com in 2005. It’s my personal blog and contains posts on a variety of topics I’ve been interested in– EFL, learning Chinese, learning other languages, teaching in Taiwan, technology, education and personal development. I’ve also published the occasional post from other contributors. Comments are also welcome, but I might not publish them if they don’t contribute to the discussion!
My name’s Mark, and I’m from Colorado. I spent years living in Taiwan, first as an English teacher, next as a Chinese student, and finally as a manager and partner in an EFL business. After that, I moved to Beijing, and worked as the head of developer support at SmarTots, a tech start-up focused on children and education. I absolutely love learning, teaching and games. Now I’ve moved back to the US, but it’s been a soft landing since I live in San Francisco’s Chinatown!
